IT Technician - Consolidated Tribal Health Project, Inc. - Redwood Valley, CA
Provides computer hardware and software support to facility departments, including routine maintenance, software upgrades, hardware installations. Responsible for the diagnosis and resolution to software and hardware related issues for all CTHP staff and providers, including educating and training new staff and providers when necessary. Prepares equipment for operation. Performs routine maintenance on computer and peripheral equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resolves IT related issues for providers and staff of CTHP including PC and network hardware and software, e-mail, word processing, ancillary interfaces, problems with terminal, mouse, printer etc. Responsible for the resolution of IT issues in a timely manner, referring issues to manager or external vendors as appropriate. Educates user departments on how to use specific software, i.e., graphics, printing, statistics, and word processing. Operates computers and peripheral equipment according to the operating manual performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting. Confers with programmers and analysts to find solutions for computer problems Communicates clearly and appropriately to supervisor; forwards unresolved problems to supervisor. Manages CTHP’s Local Area Network (LAN) and any future Wide Area Network (WAN). Maintains a good working relationship within the departments and with other departments. Participates in a continuous preventive maintenance program and conducts emergency repairs. Develops and maintains technical operations and maintenance manuals. Identifies and requisitions needed materials and equipment necessary to accomplish tasks. Maintains warranties and prevention schedules & inventory of equipment. Performs technical support to EHR and Telemedicine equipment. Willingly performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRESMENTS:
Associates Arts/Business Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Valid California Drivers’ License. Certificate in computer operations or data processing. Minimum of five years’ experience in computer operations. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) Indian Health Services (HIS) systems preferred.INDIAN PREFERENCE: Preference in filling vacancies will be given to qualified Indian candidates, in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 25, U.S. Code, Section 472 and 473).
