**Responsibilities**

The Operating Room Technician is a team member who functions in a support position, working collaboratively under the immediate direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties are directed toward the delivery of patient care services and may, within guidelines, be adapted to the needs of the individual units. Graduation from an accredited ORT program. Certification by the Organization of Surgical Technicians. Current BCLS Certification (AHA approved).

**Qualifications**

Graduation from an accredited ORT program or Certification by the Organization of Surgical Technicians required. Current BCLS Certification (AHA approved).
