At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Business Analyst supporting Indian Health Services you will be trusted to work with clinicians, developers, and federal staff to document changes and requirements for clinical applications.

In this role, a typical day will include:

+ Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.

+ Perform technical assessments aimed at improving client systems.

+ Perform functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.

+ Research, identify, and recommend resources required for task execution and completion.

+ Perform functional modeling based on requirements analysis.

+ Develop new systems or updates existing systems to meet client needs.

+ Serves as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.

+ Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.

+ Consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.

+ Identifies emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.

+ Write and update project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.

+ Perform test validation at various levels including database validation, logging validation, and user interface validation.

+ Participate in iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements.

+ Respond to inquiries from the client, clinicians, field personnel, developers, and other customers.

+ Submit status reports to the PMO and reports on project metrics.

+ Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

+ Participate in special projects as required.

+ May serve as technical team or task lead.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

+ 5+ years of experience with requirements analysis and engineering using SDLC Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

+ Experience creating process and data flow diagrams, prototypes/wireframes.

+ Experience managing change control activities, including product backlogs, scope management, and impact and gap analysis.

+ Knowledge of system development methodology and project management.

+ Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

+ Demonstrated relevant work experience in development or testing role.

+ Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences.

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.

+ Understanding of Agile processes and the related QA lifecycle.

+ Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.

Security clearance level

+ Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance. Active Public Trust or higher clearance, a plus.

Preferred qualifications

+ IIBA certification Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)

+ Agile certification such as Scrum Alliance CSM or Scaled Agile SAFe

+ Experience with Health IT and EHR system

+ Knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS or legacy VISTA

+ Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps
