Chegg is looking for a Finance Manager to work within the Financial Planning & Analysis team. This highly visible position will partner with the Finance Director, Supply Chain Director and Business Unit General Manager to help optimize the business. Primary responsibilities will include P&L forecasting, working with various functional leaders to set quarterly revenue and spend targets, driving operational efficiency and process automation.
This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes, and will be responsible for supporting Senior Leaders and Directors within the organization. You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to help streamline operations, planning, reporting, as well as identify investment and optimization opportunities within this business unit.
This position reports to Finance Director for the business unit and is in our Santa Clara, CA corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities:
Manage monthly forecast and variance analysis, business analytics, full P&L modeling and long-term business model. Maintain, update and validate business model to improve accuracy of forecasting
Provide detailed analysis of monthly and quarterly results and communicate variances and key drivers to senior management in each functional area. Manage all appropriate month-end close processes and facilitate financial review meetings with business groups
Help drive optimal business decision making through financial, quantitative and strategic analysis
Partner with reporting teams to implement and improve financial planning process and standardize reporting systems
Requirements:
4+ years of FP&A and/or investment banking experience; Ideally working with consumer internet businesses
Experience partnering with/supporting senior operating executives (VPs, GMs, etc.)
Strong analytical background, quantitative analysis capabilities and complex financial modeling experience
Superb attention to detail with an ability to prioritize and deliver within a fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Excellent grasp of corporate finance fundamentals. Need to demonstrate agile critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity
Demonstrated high energy/creativity, a relentless customer-focus, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in an open team environment
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and financial reporting and planning systems (SQL, NetSuite, Anaplan preferred)
BA/BS required. MBA preferred
