Job Summary
The Store Clerk works as part of the General Store team keeping the store clean & stocked while ringing up sales & assisting guests.
Responsibilities and Duties
The incumbent is responsible for:
Cleaning and stocking the store Monitoring & interpreting inventory levels to assist with ordering Operating a POS accurately Serving guests Opening and closing duties Organization & inventory of all products Work special events Corresponding with gusts for special orders, special events, deliveries & parties Delivering groceries to campgrounds, casas & boats Taking orders via phone/email Break down boxes, use compactor & clean back of house Ice production & inventory Inputting/coding invoices, using purchase ordering system Filing, organizing paperwork Serve ice cream Work with other employees in all responsibilities listed Warmly/personably serve guests & correctly manage any conflicts Work together with other departments Keeping work environment clean, safe & equipment well maintained Participate in employee relations, safety & training programs Operate POS accurately & business related computer programs Key holder Exceptional customer service Cash drops, change & banksQualifications and Skills
Previous customer service experience in retail &/or grocery Ability to follow directions Excellent customer skills and be able to efficiently coordinate functions and provide an exceptional guest experience Attention to detail and be well organized Must possess basic mathematical skills in order to add, subtract, divide, multiply and calculate discounts or percentages Must possess exceptional customer service skills in order to provide an exceptional guest experience Business centric knowledge of computer programs & automated point of sale Motivated to complete projects in a timely manner Ability to follow directions & delegate to others as needed Organized with an attention to detail Valid driver’s license, with insurable driving record Minimum of 18 years of ageEducation and/or Experience:
Experience in Retail/Grocery High School/GED diplomaLanguage Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, with customers, and the general public. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand &/or sit for extended periods of time Must be able to reach with hands and arms Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, push and pull on a regular basis. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity and ability to hear to clearly communicate to managers, coworkers and guestsBenefits
