Tax Preparer - Robert Half Accountemps (California)

Description

A Tax Preparer position has become available at an Accountemps firm in the San Jose, California area. In this role, you will perform essential Tax Preparer tasks such as finalizing State and Federal tax return forms for individual and small business. If you enjoy tasks that require a great attention to detail and are passionate about making an impact, this Tax Preparer may be a great match for your skills. What you get to do every single day

- Manage incoming client calls to answer tax questions and set appointments

- Ensure appropriate data is entered into Tax software application

- Tally and invoice for form preparation fees

- Support clients by gathering mandatory information/documents

- Hand-operate transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies

- Produce other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Requirements

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Outstanding data entry skills

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

- Income Tax Preparation experience

- Tax Preparation experience required
