Work you’ll do

The Vendor Management Lead position will be the main support for all of Innovation & Platforms and will provide services for the vendor business relationship with OGC, Procurement, QRM/Risk and Cyber Security including all vendor agreements.

+ Lead the implementation of operational strategies and policies to forecast needs, develop service level agreements and provide operational oversight

+ Lead the negotiation process by having knowledge of vendor historical data and events, potential issues, strengths and weaknesses, financial impact of proposed deal, and summary of balance of trade and contract terms; (Very experienced in contract negotiations)

+ Meet with vendors to obtain and/or negotiate service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule;

+ Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships and performance, to include recommendations for on-time delivery, quality issues, pricing discrepancies, process management and improvement and creating an effective model of supply chain management;

+ Oversee any defective or unacceptable service issues with clients and escalate issues to the appropriate person or team.

+ Resolve problems, complete audits and implement procedural changes in efforts to streamline processes that may enhance efficiency in process

+ Implement operational strategies and policies to forecast needs, develop service level agreements and operational oversight; (Must have good experience creating/developing contracts and agreements)

+ Review defective or unacceptable services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action;

+ Maintain databases, record all contracts and deliverables such items as services purchased, cost, delivery, service quality, performance and implement KPIs

+ Be the liaison between staff in Finance, Operations, Product and IT Support on service deliveries, invoice discrepancies, and spend.

+ Manage and budget hosting costs and 3 rd party software costs;

+ Manage and track team projects from initiation through implementation;

The Team

The Vendor Management Lead will be solely responsible in this position and will report to the Cloud Operations Lead.
