Healthcore (formerly NERI) is currently seeking a Qualitative Researcher Sr. to join a multidisciplinary team. The position will support innovative research projects relevant to public health, medical sociology, health disparities, PROM development and validation as well as health policy and practice. The qualitative researcher will contribute to all aspects of research work ranging from interview guide development to data analysis of research projects, including conducting interviews and focus groups with research participants as well as developing and executing coding and analysis. The qualitative researcher will have an opportunity to contribute to published manuscripts and to participate in presentations.

+ Researcher Sr. is responsible for prospective health services qualitative research activities.

+ Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Conduct semi-structured interviews, open-ended interviews and focus groups;

+ Contribute to the design and development of qualitative and mixed methods research proposals;

+ Conceptualize research strategies and review of project relevant literature;

+ Collaborate to develop discussion guides, analytical frameworks, and codebooks;

+ Conduct qualitative data analysis including analytic coding and report writing;

+ Effectively summarize research findings for various audiences;

+ Synthesize results and write effective project reports and manuscripts;

+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary research team; and manage other general research tasks related to qualitative and mixed methods projects.

+ Perform key project related tasks with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

+ Requires a MA, MPH OR PhD in Sociology, Psychology, health sciences or related field; 1-2 years of qualitative research experience in health service research, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

+ Ability to work independently, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment are required.

+ Proficiency with the Atlas.ti software program is preferred, as well as the ability to learn new software programs as needed.

+ The position requires excellent analytic and organizational skills, strong and comprehensive qualitative training, and substantial experience with qualitative data collection, managing qualitative research projects, as well as analyzing, and summarizing results of qualitative research for different audiences.

+ Ph.D preferred.
