Director, Supply Chain Optimization - Cedars-Sinai (California)
The Director of Supply Chain Optimization is responsible for developing the strategic direction for organizational Supply Chain data and analytic programs. Oversees the ongoing management of multiple analytic tools, including data integrity as related to end to end Supply Chain (i.e. master file items, vendor master file, Contract Management, PAR Optimization, Value Analysis, etc.). Responsible for identifying critical data objects, creating and implementing data standards along with the corresponding governance processes required to ensure data accuracy and completeness. In collaboration with the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) department this position will act as the primary interface between EIS and Supply Chain on all tool development and analytics. Develops and leads a wide range of project/operational management activities in support of the enterprise wide Supply Chain business initiatives and support all training to ensure efficient and effective use of the Supply Chain processes and tools.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Leads the development and operationalization of supply chain analytics and optimization methodologies, tools and workflows across all supply chain functions. Ensures consistency and accuracy of data throughout the Supply Chain business processes.
•Collaborates directly with key leadership across supply chain, clinical, and operational departments to establish a strategy and drive organizational change resulting in enterprise wide adoption of the master data management program. Interfaces with cross-functional teams to support and validate adherence to master data policies.
•Develops a data governance structure and support the development for the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements to measure the organization’s Supply Chain performance and demonstrated value. Works directly with developers, data stewards, and business analysts on data requirements and quality assurance.
•Provides tactical and strategic support to all Health System entities (i.e. MDRH, Torrance etc.) by analyzing / interpreting the data to provide creative solutions and provide forecasting models to deliver high quality data and analysis for Strategic Sourcing, Value Analysis and Supply Chain Operations.
•Advises and provides support to the data analyst(s), other system owners, and technical personnel in master data management concepts, supply chain analytics and other analytic areas.
•Serves as a liaison between the Supply Chain function and the broader IT/data teams.Partner with EIS to validate business rules governing use of the data, security of data, and for the data life cycle. Participates in the testing, implementation, and application of technology solutions.
•Maintains responsibility for partnering with the businesses / functions, understanding their processes / operations, and acting as an intermediary to manage the needs of the external customers by actively participating in identifying / enabling strategic-tactical initiatives requiring Supply Chain data.
•Analyzes and monitors the quality of Supply Chain master data in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures, utilizing both manual and automated screening approaches. Initiates corrective action plans to ensure and improve the quality of material master data.
•Ensures the business processes and procedures that could add products / SKUs to the portfolio include the proper steps, roles, and tools to assure that master data is loaded into the ERP system and supporting systems properly.
•Develops and maintains a talent development program specific to the Supply Chain analytics capability. Directly supports or trains the resources.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Information Technology
and/or related field required
Master's degree in supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Information Technology and/or related field required preferred
Experience:
10 years Supply chain and data analysis experience required
5 years Management / supervisory experience required
