Compliance Specialist III - Varian Medical Systems (California)

Varian is looking for a Compliance Specialist to join the team.

The person in this role will be responsible for the following.

Administrator to the SAP EHSM module for RoHS/REACH & China RoHS.

Front-line support for Engineering and train new Engineering personnel. It is expected that when new and updated regulations for RoHS/REACH are released, that training be created and rolled out for Engineering.

RoHS3 Regulation release for Medical Devices activities requires experienced resources to drive RoHS3 compliance for all product in production. Without this resource we risk missing deadline.

Serve as technical expert for global RoHS/REACH regulations. Consult development teams on compliance.

Manage SAP RoHS/REACH tool – EHSM

Monitor international RoHS/REACH trends and communicate business impact to development teams.

May direct the interaction of global site RoHS/REACH coordinators

Collaborates with internal customers to develop positive and proactive approaches to regulatory compliance

Own the ESHM work instruction.

Train Engineering staff on the use of ESHM.

Review product compliance in EHSM for new products. May support product compliance of products in production as assigned.

Recommends strategies to achieve earliest possible approvals of product compliance activities for New Products Releases.

Participates in site manager meetings and recommends strategies to drive efficiencies in the EHSM – RoHS/REACH process globally

Experience:

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 3 years of related experience** **_._

This position requires a high-level understanding of the Reach/RoHS regulations and how they should be interpreted and applied to our new products.
