Apply to jobs now hiring in California today!We are looking for a Promotions Data Sr. Analyst to join our team in our corporate headquarters. This important position is responsible for helping manage the promotions process, and coordinate and launch hundreds of promotions.

Big Picture: You will be in charge of managing all promotional data (received from multiple stakeholders in the company and vendors), including the data upload processes.

Specifically, at TAP, you would help with the following functions and activities:

Manage promotional data and control data processes:
Ensure the entry of all promotional data into Sharepoint. You will help manage and ensure the proper data entry of promo information by TAP stakeholders (the goal is to have the majority of stakeholders entering their data directly into Sharepoint). You will also have to enter some of the information.

Work with stakeholders and with the team’s Director to accurate data from promotions process stakeholders in a timely basis.

QA the data entered into Sharepoint.

Help maintain tools related to the promotions process.

Help Director run the pre-promo and post-promo analyses.

Work with stakeholders to make sure they understand tools and processes.

Quality Assurance & Accountability is a key part of this role. It is your ultimate responsibility to make sure numerical and text information is 100% accurate, as well as all media associated with the promotion.

Ad Hoc Projects:
You will execute ad hoc projects to ensure the continued success of the promotions process.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Attention to Detail: We have hundreds of thousands of SKUs, and we run hundreds of promotions per year. Promotions involve dozens of variables to consider (SKU cost, freight, channel, promotion detail, retail sales adjustment value, gift SKU values, list of SKUs that qualify for promotions, etc), so the above tasks require significant attention to detail and the ability to manipulate effectively and accurately multiple and disparate Excel, PDF and PPT files from many stakeholders and vendors. This task directly relates to entering the relevant variables into Sharepoint and the Promotions model.

Data Manipulation & Management: We are looking for someone who is comfortable extracting data from multiple sources, including databases, Excel, PDFs, etc, and someone who can accurately and effectively aggregate such data in a single source.

Communication: This process requires communicating effectively with vendors and other TAP team members.

Organizational skills: Proven track-record of work that requires a high-degree of organization.

Computer skills: High degree of comfort using Excel. Ability to learn to use different systems.

MUST HAVES

A Bachelor's degree

Experience using Excel – 2 years minimum.

Experience manipulating large sets of data – 2 years minimum.

Excellent math skills; a math test will be administered (if you can do algebra, you are golden).

Good grammar and vocabulary.

Fastidious attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment.

Willingness to roll-up the sleeves and go the extra mile!

Can-do attitude under adversity!

Ability to multi-task

NICE TO HAVES

Experience with large database programs (e.g. SQl, Oracle, COGNOS, etc) – 2 years minimum.

Experience writing database queries, in query languages such as SQL.

Basic experience programming (in anything; if you have VBA, C+/C++ or SQL experience, even better)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard office environment.

Periodic travel required (i.e. photo shoots, video and print production, shows & events, etc.).
