Presales Consultant - Life Sciences - Oracle (California)
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

The ideal candidate will act as product expert on Oracle s clinical data capture applications, and associated analytics; specifically, Oracle InForm Suite, Oracle IRT and Oracle Clinical Development Analytics (CDA), which is based on Oracle s BI platform (OBIEE).

Will act as industry expert in the clinical R&D sector of the Life Sciences industry, maintaining in depth and up to date industry knowledge around clinical drug and device development
Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all relevant customer needs concerning clinical R&D, such as randomization and supplies management, data capture, managing discrepancies and all aspects of clinical data management, including risk based monitoring strategies
Building and maintaining effective relationships with all relevant customers throughout the sales lifecycle
Maintaining up to date knowledge and commercial awareness of the external market place and competitor product/solution offerings and value propositions
Contributing to the generation and maintenance of relevant Life Sciences Value Propositions
Exploiting Oracle's Marketing messages in the definition of Life Sciences solutions
Is capable of developing, justifying and defending Oracle solution blueprints with board level executives and capable of articulating the solution plan and roadmap to them
Designing and delivering customer demonstrations/presentations to articulate, update and evangelize Oracle solutions in Life Sciences as required
Working as part of Account Teams on specific opportunities to enhance revenue for Oracle Corporation through on-premise license and cloud subscription sales
Ensuring the creation of reference sites with all customers
Ensuring adherence and application of Oracle sales methodology
