Cargo Flow Manager – Oceania Trade

General Purpose:

Overall cargo flow management responsibility for the ANL USA vessels.Be responsible for the sales, pricing and operational coordination for OOG and break bulk shipments ex North America to Oceania.

In conjunction with the Regional Director North America Trades coordinate trade activities for the ANL USA trades to achieve revenue and contribution targets as per company strategy

OEPRATIONS

Coordinate with OVSA counterparts on operating level Constant liaising with cargo flow in ANL HO to ensure cargo is arriving for intended vessels Work with trade to balance vessel utilizations during overbooked situations Continuously liaising with OVSA partners and marine terminals to ensure that ANL cargo flow is maximized. Managing late gates, particularly for Reefer Calculate costing of OOG cargo and oversee stowage aboard vessel…..a profitable niche that USL dominates (viz: helicopters/yachts/RV’s/machinery/etc.) Establish systems and processes to ensure all vessels are maximised at minimal cost through optimised resource allocation. Evaluate and where necessary recommend and institute new guidelines for the acceptance and carriage of cargoes by the Group. Incorporate a business-focused operations strategy to ensure engagement with commercial teams and identify opportunities for continuous improvement aligned with group’s strategy.

TRADE MANAGEMENT

Assist in monitoring all aspects of the USA southbound trades performance including bookings, liftings and revenues on a per sailing basis and to ensure that performance is in accordance with the agreed ANL objectives Continually review internal systems with a view to continually bringing USA trades up to industry best standards and ensuring productivity levels are maintained. In conjunction with the Regional Director North America Trades formulate and monitor pricing guidelines for OOG and Break bulk cargo in order to optimize ANL’s yield in Australia and USA.
Participate in the identification and development of specific marketing opportunities for OOG and Break Bulk cargo Maintain sound relations with major OOG and Break Bulk customers to enhance their positive disposition toward the company.

Managers are responsible for the safe operation of employees, contractors and visitors to the site.

In particular -


Ensure that the OH&S policies and procedures are effectively communicated to all employees, contractors and the control of visitors to the site. Ensure induction training is provided for all employees, contractors and visitors, if required. Ensure policies and procedures are complied with Ensure that safety plans are developed in consultation with employees Promote OH&S by example Ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with OH&S procedures, legislation and good practice Respond to and report any hazardous situations Review all tasks to assist in improving safety.
