Director, Operations, Marketing for Hardware - Google (California)
Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 10 years of relevant experience.
* Experience with handling multiple stakeholders and functions.
* Experience managing distributed teams. Experience leading operational initiatives within a consumer marketing business.
Preferred qualifications:
* MBA degree or equivalent.
* Demonstrated executive leadership experience in hardware industry and/or marketing within a leading consumer company.
* Consultant experience either at a major consulting firm and/or an in-house strategy unit within a large company.
* Excellent operational, team building and communication skills.

As Director of Marketing Operations, you will define and build the operations capability for Hardware Marketing, driving the global team to executional excellence and maximum ROI. You will bring marketing expertise and operational experience scaling a large organization as well as being someone who can inspire teams and be a change agent. You’ll be rigorous and disciplined in driving process; you will also know when to be agile and adaptive to ensure new ways of working stick.
This role requires a leader with strong operational rigor as well as business acumen (ideally with expertise in a consumer products industry), ability to deftly navigate a complex organizational structure and exceptional people/communication skills. * Oversee end-to-end program management and marketing development process from planning through execution; ensure everything from product positioning to go-to-market execution is on brief, on time and at excellence. Build marketing operations processes from the ground up; manage a range of core capabilities that include localization, licensing and business affairs, production studio and content management.
* Guide marketers and marketing procurement on how to engage with agency partners. Oversee localization for various forms of marketing and negotiation of licensing and rights management for marketing work.
* Lead long-term capability building and organization transformation. Guide marketing organization evolution, including capability requirements, ways of working and on broader organization.
* Manage budgets across campaigns within product teams, ensuring teams meet operational KPIs to drive efficiency goals. Oversee development, implementation and maintenance of tools to capture and share content / digital assets across marketing organization and agencies.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practice sharing across product teams and geographies. Develop new systems/tools that improve accountability, productivity, and overall governance of delivering marketing work.
