Position: Hotel House Person / Laundry Attendant

Reports To: Facilities Supervisor

Rate: $16/hr + bonuses + benefits

Requirements:

18 years of age or older Ability to Push (100) pounds, Lift 50 pound with ease Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods Bend and reach to polish, vacuum, and dust and perform cleaning duties.

General Responsibilities:

Sorting of dirty linen from laundry chute to be processed Pick up dirty linen from housekeepers Fold linen and towels in accordance with hotel established procedures. Start washer and dryers. Turn valves or levers to regulate machine. Ensure the proper volume of soap, detergent, water, and bleach are working correctly. Dryers must be set at the correct heating zones. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department. Perform other duties as needed and requested by management Clean and maintain all corridors and public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction. Stock linen and supply closet to ensure par inventories. Report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Facilities Manager. Deliver guest request items. Performed Laundry Attendant duties as needed. Remove all trash from the hotel. Clean guest room carpet with carpet extractor and appropriate machines. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Perform other duties as needed and requested by management
