A leader in petroleum/ service station related construction and project management is looking for self motivated, dependable and experienced candidate to immediately fill the following full time position:

The candidate must have knowledge about every stage of the construction process from scope development to project closeout, and must have the ability to proficiently manage the following responsibilities:

PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT:

Assists Project Managers in formulating construction schedule and maintaining construction schedule throughout the project from inception to closeout. Supervises employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality control and project compliance. Schedules and directs all inspections with city officials, government agencies and private agencies as required. Performs safety management responsibilities, orientations, quarterly meetings, OSHA Standards Schedules all trades and material deliveries daily. Confirms merit of change order request, assists Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and costs verification. Coordinate regularly with trade contractors and vendors to negotiate purchase orders and change orders. Completes daily reports. Review plans, drawings and permit packages for the scopes of work. Review and qualify submittals conforming to plans and specifications. Resolve questions/ problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes and requests and clarifications with designers/architects and subcontractors. Monitors progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules. Oversee construction staff and distribution of current contract permits, plans and specifications. Coordinate agency inspections, testing and agency finals as required. Coordinate with architects, contractors and subcontractors to assure compliance with contract documents, conflict resolution, safety rules, quality and security requirements to maximize production and eliminate down time. Possess strong organizational, communication and leadership skills. Experience with dispatching and organizing multiple technicians. Verifies and approves employee timecards. Must be able to multi-task with high priority issues. Must have excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. Must have excellent organizational skills and follow-up.

Candidates Additional Required Qualifications:

5 years minimum experience in construction and safety practices, including scheduling, contracts, budgets and related processes and information. Computer experience: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office programs including the ability to e-mail reports, up load and down load pictures and information, take online training. Ability to travel throughout the US. Ability to work outside year round in all types of weather conditions. Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances. Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project Familiarity with fuel station compliance testing regulations extremely helpful. Strong verbal and writing skills (English language).
