L3 Technologies Photonics is currently searching for a Technical Program Manager for their Carlsbad, CA location. In this Technical Program Management position you will be managing the development of a Free Space Optics commumications system as a sub-contractor. The development program for the program entails working with the US Government and industry partners, and providing leadership to the L3 team. This role requires strong leadership and program management skills. Experience in managing US Government contracts and using metrics such as Earned Value is a plus. You’ll take pride in the work we do for our military and our country and it will show in your diligence to make things happen.

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering (EE, CS) with 10+ years’ experience in program management with some of that experience around delivering integrated products/or MS degree in Engineers with 7 years' program management experience Demonstrated ability of full understanding of Profit/Loss Concepts Basic understanding of contract types and risk management practices Ability to manage proposal efforts and participate in ongoing business development Ability to travel domestically up to 10% Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline Eligible for a TS/SCI Clearance US Government position. US Citizenship required

Preferences:

Experience with Government systems and service acquisition Experience with EVMS PMP

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.


Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.

Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
