Job Description:**
The Mills College Public Health and Health Equity Program (PHE) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Adjunct Professor in Public Health and Health Equity. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Health Equity and evidence of excellent teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students. This Professor will be responsible for teaching five courses per year plus academic advising and directing the PHE Program as well as coordinating the Health Navigators internship program and liaising with external partners such as Highland Hospital. Teaching will include: Introduction to Public Health, Theories and Praxis of Health Equity, Senior Seminar in PHE, and other courses related to the successful candidate's field of expertise.
This is a one academic year renewable contract position to begin in August 2019.
The PHE Program at Mills College was founded in 2016 and educates a very diverse group of emerging leaders including many first-generation students, students of color, queer students, and students with a variety of gender identities. Mills students are engaged learners with interest and experience in social justice work and activism. The PHE Program highlights community engaged learning opportunities, creative intellectual work, and close mentorship with students.

This is a full-time, exempt position with an FTE of 1.0. Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $55K to $60K per year, and] includes an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/LTD insurance, and 403(b) retirement plan with college-matching after 6 month qualifying period.
