As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities of a Solution Architect falls into these three broadly defined categories:
q *Assist service and licensing sales teams in pursuits (20%)*
v Work with Licensing Sales, CSM s and Business SA s in discovery sessions
v Develop conceptual, technical and reference architectures based on requirements
v Perform demos and presentations of the product, capabilities of OCS to the customer
v Based on proposed architecture, assist license teams in PaaS product proposal and sizing
v Develop estimates, staff plan and assist in putting together a services proposal
v Work with internal teams within Oracle to get the proposal approved
q *Assist delivery teams in execution and delivery of projects (70%)*
v If the pursuit reaches maturity, assist delivery teams in putting together a delivery model
v Help establish technical delivery team and transition scope, requirements and success criteria's
v Assist technical leads and PM s in the governance and delivery of the project
v Work with Customer to make sure objectives and success criteria s of the project are managed
v Assist technical delivery team with resolving any issues and provide direction
q *Develop sales strategies, collaterals and artifacts to help promote services and products (10%)*
v Work on winning strategies for sales pursuits,
v Work with various development organizations to keep up with evolving Oracle solutions, tools and strategies
v Based on perceived demand, develop solution accelerators, reference architectures and related artifacts and collaterals
v Keep service and licensing sales teams abreast with OCS capabilities around accelerators and service delivery of evolving realms

Should have a very good understanding of all technical capabilities of SaaS from an extensions, Integration and reporting perspective and be able to articulate complex technical solutions involving these limited features
Be able to run discovery sessions with our customers, collect requirements, educate and evangelize on Oracle cloud solutions/strategies and independently develop proposals
Should have a command on all integration patterns for SaaS (ERP, HCM and CX) involving various technologies and frameworks. This include all Integration options within PaaS, various SOA based frameworks on-premise
Should be familiar with all of reporting possibilities within SaaS. Should also be able to design complex reporting solutions involving various PaaS components
Have a very sound understanding of Oracle Fusion Middleware, be an expert on JCS cloud. Should have the skills required to extend the capabilities and processes of SaaS on the JCS cloud using a variety of technologies and frameworks

*Technical Skills Expected of an SA *
Core Java EE Development/Architecture
Knowledge scripting tools (EL, Groovy, Xpath, Xquery, Javascript)
Experience in WebServices (SOAP & REST using XML/JSON Payloads)
Understanding of Inherent tools and technologies of SaaS Applications (FBDI, BIP, ADFDI, Services in OER, Applications Composer, BIP, etc)
Excellent understanding of Authentication and Authorization solutions inherent in SaaS (ERP, CX and HCM)
Adv. skills of Oracle FMW architecture, development and administration
Advanced knowledge of ADF development including the use of various cloud based UI templates/libraries
Advanced knowledge of JET development. Or advanced knowledge of Java scripting frameworks such as JQuery, JQueryUI Require, Knockout
Advanced knowledge of SOA Suite and its utility in cloud based solutions
Knowledge of BPM Suite in design, development and architecture
Knowledge of Oracle MAF in design, development and arch realms
Working knowledge of various Oracle PaaS offerings including JCS, ICS, iPaaS, Process Cloud, Mobile Cloud, Document Cloud, Messaging Cloud
Sound Understanding of Business Processes and capabilities within SaaS and across Industries/verticals/processes
