**About the Position:**The pay band NH-04 pay band incudes the General Schedule Grade equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Other initiative under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

### Responsibilities
* The incumbent is responsible for planning, managing, supervising, and leading the activities of employees.
* Interacts with other CMO managers and supervisors as well as with contractor officials to identify, coordinate and resolve issues crossing organizational lines.
* The incumbent is responsible for keeping CMO management advised on all relevant issues and impact of Agency policy changes in the Contract Pricing field of the CMO.
* The incumbent directs the work of an organization consisting of a pricing and cost analysis team, includes a technical staff which is responsible for performing technical support to pricing, contract administration surveillance and pricing functions.
* The incumbent reports to the CMO Contracts Director.
* Interfaces directly with the contractor and customers to ensure adequate and timely contract price/cost analysis and technical pricing services are provided.

**QUALIFICATIONS:** In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
**Experience required:** To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level NH-03. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience directing a group of professionals and technical employees responsible for the oversight and implementation of a wide variety of contracting processes and initiatives to include: price cost analysis, technical assessment, in-depth analyses, negotiation recommendations and overseeing Major Defense Acquisition Programs on weapon system programs as well as, experience assisting with the submission of personnel actions including selections, training, promotions,
awards, recognition, and disciplinary actions
Education cannot be substituted for experience.

**BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT (Contracting Series):**
A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees AND at least 24 semester hours in any
combination of the following fields: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing,
quantitative methods, or organization and management. (This requirement can be obtained within the degree or in addition to the degree). **NOTE:** You MUST submit a copy of your transcripts.
**NOTE:** Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts
above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from
meeting this requirement.
