Thisindividual will be a member of the Engineering organization developing ExternalMonitoring solutions for Oracle Cloud. As a member of the Edge Monitoring team,the Senior Software Engineer will be highly focused on building anddeveloping full stack cloud deployed monitoring solutions. The idealcandidate will be highly autonomous, very detail oriented and possess strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
Theideal candidate would have an understanding of software design principles,. This person should be able to rapidly identify and explain design issuesand challenges, and think on their feet. In addition to their experiencewith software lifecycle best practices, familiarities with Internettechnologies such as DNS, REST, SSL/TLS, HTTP, NETCONF, Open Config, and YANGis desired but not necessary.

* Automate select network operation tasks through creation and maintenance of tools.

* A minimum of 5 years of experience working in writing and developing software in Java, Go and Python languages
* Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with providing automation solutions in a medium- to large-sized software development organization using Chef, Ansible, and Terraform
* Solid understanding of software design principles including object-oriented concepts and test-driven development methodologies
* Solid background in software engineering and familiarity with networking concepts including network management and related technologies
* Desired to have a knowledge of major networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS protocols for both IPv4 and IPv6 or willing to learn
* Demonstrated innovative thinker and creative problem solver
* Knowledge and experience with computing environments including server operation, compute platforms, and storage
