We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to develop and support Cyber Security projects within Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Security.

The successful candidate for the position will have a strong background in working in a data driven environment and supporting fast paced agile development. The candidate should have good technical background working in SQL environment and ability to conduct deep data analysis, SQL code development, and Python Scripting. The candidate should also have strong communication and written skills. A willing to learn and flexible to changing technology is crucial.

The job responsibilities for the job include but are not limited to:

• Develop and enhance vulnerability reporting data from various Scanning tools for specific reporting in a SQL and Hadoop Eco system.

• Automate reports using Python scripting and conduct data quality checks.

• Work with Splunk platform to ingest data from specific indexes.

• Work with Qualys Scanning tool for extraction of data for data analytics and reporting.

• Work with Hadoop teams to ingest new data from various Source of Records.

• Work with Technical and Non-Technical teams to deliver data as required.

• Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.

• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.

• Propose best practices/standards.

• Research and experiment with emerging ETL technologies and tools related to Big Data.

Salary range is determined by location of the job.

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Required Qualifications

+ 3+ years of Python experience

+ 5+ years of SQL experience

+ 7+ years of information security applications and systems experience

+ 6+ years of information technology applications and systems experience

Desired Qualifications

+ Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

+ Knowledge and understanding of Big Data

+ 1+ year of Hadoop experience

+ Experience with Agile methodology of project delivery

Other Desired Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn latest enhancements in technology

• Experience with multiple data stores – SQL Server, Splunk, Hadoop, etc.

• Collaborating and working in a team environment

• 1+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, HBase
