TSS Database Analyst Advisor - General Dynamics Information Technology (California)

GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Database Analyst Advisor to join our Army Installation Support Modules (ISM) Project. The ideal candidate will be familiar with PL/SQL development and coding. Should be experienced in working with Oracle databases in a Unix/Solaris environment. Should have excellent communication and analytic skills.
Responsibilities:
+ Analyzes customer requirements and develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
+ Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases
+ Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs and administers database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management
+ Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation
+ Defines and oversees database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation
+ May provide technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment
+ Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
+ Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced database personnel
+ May serve as a team or task leader
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
+ 8+ years of IT experience
+ Active Secret Clearance
+ DoD 8570.01-M, IAT Level II compliance
+ 2+ years of Unix Shell/scripting in Solaris Environment
+ 2+ years of Oracle database in Solaris Environment
+ 2+ years PL/SQL programming/scripting (package/procedure writing & modifying)
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Queuing
