Software Developer Staff (Level 4) - Lockheed Martin (California)

**Description:** This position is for a Software Engineering Staff to be a part of a dynamic cross functional Agile team contributing to the development and maintenance of airborne and ground\-based systems\. Candidate will participate in all aspects of the full software development lifecycle\. The successful candidate will have experience in full software development lifecycle including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and contribute his/her expertise in full software development lifecycle programming to software products that span the avionics services\. Candidate should be able to take general direction and provide creative solutions to the software development to meet the mission objectives\. Candidate will support integration testing of the products in test labs and assist test engineers from early integration through flight test\. Candidate should have good communication skills enabling them to work effectively in a multi\-site teaming environment\. Experience in Agile software development in a Scrum Master or Product owner role is a plus\.

Responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration in support of airborne and ground based systems\.

Responsibilities may span the avionics services, to include ground station development as well as mission systems software technologies\.

Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations\.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9\+ years of professional experience; or 7\+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree\.

Demonstrated experience with the following:

Programming experience with one or more of the following software languages: Ada, C, C\+\+, C\#, Java, or Python

Experience with the software development lifecycle in a team environment

Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated experience with the following:

Developing software for embedded systems

Experience in software/hardware integration

Experience programming in Ada, C, and C\+\+

Experience in an Agile Software Development as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner

Cost Account Management \(CAM\) experience

Must also demonstrate the following:

Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics

Strong decision making and judgment

Oral and written communication skills

Basic financial and business acumen

Ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed
