This position must be able to work in an Anthem office in one of the following California cities: Costa Mesa, Rancho Cordova, San Diego, San Francisco, Walnut Creek

Responsible for supporting the sales efforts of the Specialty Sales Executive (SSE) to respond to broker proposals and decision-makers during the negotiation and selection process. Other responsibilities include assisting Specialty Account Manager with service on retention efforts.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

+ Specialty Product RFP proposal coordination including data entry and system updates

+ Case Installation when appropriate and oversee sales processing, along with SSE

+ Broker and customer engagement/issue resolution

+ Salesforce data entry

+ Applying Rate Bank when applicable

+ Request Disruption & Geo Access Reports

+ Partners with SSE and Brokers on developing and designing specific benefit plans.

+ Directs and coordinates benefit design issues and modifications with Operations and Membership Implementation staff in support of client needs.

+ Analyzes client needs and develop, design and/or recommend implement product improvements/additions to increase sales.

+ Negotiates with the broker/underwriting regarding price and/or rates for specific plans/options.

+ Partner with SSE to develop alternate plans or modifications for competitive rates.

+ Assist medical team on the training of Specialty products/processes

+ Researches reasons for client decisions regarding Anthem and competitor products.

+ Partners with SSE regarding plan comparisons

+ Sells, promotes,and influences Brokers to add additional products/services to existing accounts (upsell)

+ Platinum & Standard Broker Bonus audits

+ Creation of benefit summaries

+ Order give-aways

+ Requesting/Pulling Reports

+ Pulling EOC’s

+ Assisting SAM with issue resolution

+ Completing ARF request

+ Minor service issues

+ Requires a BA/BS; 3 years of related experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

+ Sales license required where necessary.

+ Managed Health Care or Specialty Healthcare is highly preferred.
