About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Community Services Flight Outdoor Recreation. Physical Effort: Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, crawling and working in tight spaces. Frequently lifts and carries unassisted parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally moves heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices over 40 pounds.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in the maintenance, repair, outboard marine engine, small gas engines and various mechanical equipment used for the rental. Experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate equipment defects; interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals, diagnostic codes, technical specifications, schematics, and safety manuals; and to operate electronic test equipment; knowledge of the theory, care and operation of small gas engines ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine proper maintenance; ability to communicate effectively and keep maintenance records. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to lift, handle, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, with assistance up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently stand, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in tight spaces for long periods. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Position is a position of trust. Must be able to complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. "This is a drug testing designated position.
