Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities

Forecasts organization material or product requirements needed to support capital optimization, corporate strategy and production/sales objectives. Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders when forecasting and planning materials and products. Plans inventory levels for optimal inventory deployment, as well as ensuring inventory meets service level requirements. Analyzes demand, supply and shipment trends using statistical tools to identify opportunities, tradeoffs, impacts and risks to revenue and business plan objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Develops, implements and monitors product line forecasts in units and dollar amounts

+ Analyzes systems and methods to continually improve forecasts and better anticipate customer needs

+ Builds SKU-level financial and operational forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons

+ Reviews historical sales trends, researches and interpret demand drivers, and prepares forecast data to maintain inventory targets

+ Closely coordinates and communicates forecasts with supply planning, inventory management, and distribution functions where appropriate

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Capabilities

+ Familiar with the sales and operations planning process

+ Statistical, analytical and problem solving capabilities

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Intermediate project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skill / Capabilities

+ SAP system experience

+ Experience deploying and integrating ERP systems

+ Lean and continuous improvement experience and mindset

+ Experience with new product introduction and product life cycle management

+ Spine and/or medical device industry knowledge and experience

Education and Experience

+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

+ Experience working with detailed product line forecasts preferred

+ Experience with low volume, high mix product lines preferred
