Clinical Pharmacist - Sutter Health (California)

Position Overview:

The Pharmacist ensures that medications, supplies and drug information are furnished to customers in a timely manner in compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory standards; and/or to monitor drug therapy for the pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in accordance with accepted standards, discuss potential problems with medical staff, and documents such interactions for medical staff/pharmacy review. CPMC utilizes a physician order entry system that allows for legible speedy order processing, both cart fill system and PYXIS technology to help distribute patient medications.

Qualifications:

**Education:** Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California.

Knowledge:

**A.** Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

**B.** Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks.

**C.** Must be able to work in limited space and in high stress areas.

**Experience:** Previous hospital experience preferred. PGY-2 in transplant or oncology/transplant experience is prefered. Must demonstrate knowledge and interest in hospital pharmacy practice.
