Senior Manager, Sales Strategy and Operations - Edwards Lifesciences (California)

Responsible for leading the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Identify, develop, and lead the implementation of near-term and long-term sales projects and activities relating to the development of market. Perform market analyses on new or improved product opportunities to develop new customers. Collaborate with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects.

+ Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial, competitive, sales, marketing, and other information about potential business partners; new markets, products and services; or other business opportunities so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions.

+ Mitigate/eliminate risk, direct and communicate highly complex commercial strategies which includes negotiations with internal and external parties and proactively assess overall risks in ongoing commercial strategies

+ Assess sales achievement and other key metrics to perform highly complex analyses. Interpret analyses, draw conclusions, and prepare and present findings on trends (e.g. sales growth, market trends) to sales management and internal stakeholder team including managing through ambiguity and make recommendations.

+ Identify and evaluate sales strategy process improvements and/or course correction/alignment opportunities including evaluations of new systems and/or procedures

+ Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:

+ Bachelor's Degree with 12 years related experience required

+ Master's Degree with 10 years related experience required

+ Excellent Market Development and Strategy experiences and hands-on sales experiences with multinational healthcare or medical devices companies preferred

Additional Skills:

+ Good team player, self-motivated, result oriented, problem solver with strong ownership and leadership skills.

+ Proven successful project management skills

+ Experience working with Salesforce.com and Tableau preferred

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including influencing and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

+ Ability to work in a matrix environment

+ Recognized as an expert in one or more areas with broad-based advanced knowledge within the organization

+ Expert understanding and interpretation of complicated market dynamics, identify and quantify market potential, build business case with both business and financial analysis skills.

+ Strict attention to detail

+ Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

+ Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

+ Represents leadership on projects within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, team and middle management

+ Consult in project setting within multiple areas, interfacing with low to middle management

+ Provides leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level, participates on small scale RFP

+ Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
