Account Executive Supervisor - AutoZone, Inc. (California)

Position Summary

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for the Inside Account Executive channel in the US. Staffs and directs an inside sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the market area and contributes to the development and training of Sales Representatives.

Position Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned

+ Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

+ Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Representatives.

+ Prepares and monitors action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

+ Conducts regular one-on-one reviews and coaching sessions with all region Sales Representatives to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Representative sales and activity performance.

+ Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.

+ Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

+ Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

+ Demonstrated ability to interact, cooperate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, training, product development, business systems and all company employees.

+ Recruits, tests, hires, and assists in the training of the Sales Representatives.

+ Ensures that all Sales Representatives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.

+ Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Sales Representatives to build motivation and selling skills.

+ Maintains contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

+ This position has direct reports.

Position Requirements

+ 5-7 years of experience in sales management.

+ Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) business, marketing, sales or related field of study.

+ Experience with enterprise solutions software.

+ Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements (market specific training provided).

+ Automotive experience, preferably in Point of Sale, Shop Management and CRM

+ Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.

+ Outbound call center experience.

+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
