| This hybrid role will be responsible for managing physical inventory, reporting cooler storage plan, manage coordination with contractor inventory transactions, execution of cycle counts and move, store and stage product throughout the facility as needed. This position will interact with both internal and external customers. Responsibilities Accurately enter transactional information into system of records. Utilize planned product flow estimates to develop and execute cooler storage plans and shipment schedules. Report time sensitive inventory and shipment data for performance metric calculations. Develop and maintain product inventory maps and cooler room inventory by product type and SKU. Generate and report BOL documentation for plant shipments and facilitate the inventory verification process for all inbound and outbound trucks. Verify accuracy of BOL’s, phytosanitary documentation and contractor inventory handoff documentation. Assist with the development and maintenance of SOP’s for the facility. Possess the ability to unload, store, stage and load product as needed with a forklift throughout the facility. Clearly communicate shipping details to all parties involved. Accurately maintain carrier arrival and departure timelines. Implement cycle count and inventory reconciliation processes. Perform other duties as needed. Follow Company policies and practices while representing Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, governmental agencies, growers, customers, etc. Ensure the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials. Candidate Profile A minimum of two years of warehouse inventory control and ERP processing experience or equivalent combination of business school and job related experience required. Operates electric-powered industrial forklift to load finished goods onto trucks and stores incoming product according to warehouse layout. Loads product onto trucks according to loading process and assures proper quantities against bill of lading. Operates tectrol-equipment as necessary. Stacks fruit crates above shoulder level to consolidate pallets. Stages fruit in tunnels to cool fruit to desired temperature according to pre-cool process. Loads materials for growers. Demonstrated ability working in a deadline-driven environment. Process improvement mindset and skills are preferred. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, be detail oriented and high degree of reliability. Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must display initiative and have the ability to set and meet deadlines. Possess proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proven ability to safely operate forklift in warehouse setting for sustained period of time. Bilingual [English/Spanish] communication skills are preferred. Able to work an extended schedule to accommodate the needs of the business. Must be able to maintain a valid CA Driver’s License with the ability to be insured under company sponsored liability coverage as business travel maybe required.
