Office Aide - Loma Linda University - Loma Linda, CA

Job Summary : Reports to the Senior Administrative Assistant. Files data charts, communicates with students on academic matters, enters student data into database and filing. Uses computer to generate documents, graphics, reports, spreadsheets or other data. Answers telephones and takes messages as needed. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications : High school diploma or GED required. Some college education preferred. Minimum one year of experience in an office environment required. Minimum two years office of experience preferred. Able to operate a computer terminal and printer as well as an office copier and fax machine. Familiar with common office software programs. Able to keyboard at least 40 words per minute. Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills initiative and ability to collaborate with departmental staff. Able to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Ability to develop systems for complex maintenance and archiving of documents, anticipation of department needs for assistance, clear communication in English and Spanish, orally and in writing. Visual ability to read and write and type. Able to hear sufficient enough to converse in person and on phone.
