## Job Description
_Rotational Units Bivouac Area (RUBA), located on South Loop Road, Fort Irwin, CA._
_Military Units come to Fort Irwin on a rotation schedule. This location serves as the Army’s premier training center. Approximately 4,000-5,000 soldiers from other installations rotate through RUBA each month, and our facilities are extremely busy during these “up time” periods._
As a “Roving Store Worker” at the RUBA Troop Store, you will perform duties as both Cashier and Stocker/ Laborer as directed by management. As a cashier, you will assist customers in finding what they are looking for and ensure the RUBA Troop Store is always stocked with the products customers want. You will know which products will meet customer's needs and stay up to date on trends. With your knowledge and helpful suggestions, customers will continue to shop the Exchange. You will prioritize customer needs over tasks and grow sales by maintaining merchandise, signs and labels on the sales floor. As a Stocker / Laborer, you are responsible for efficiently unloading, moving and stocking merchandise which ranges across a wide variety of items. You are on the front lines of ensuring our customers have an extraordinary shopping experience – without you, there would be nothing on the shelves!

* Unload, break-out and stock merchandise with efficiency and accuracy
* Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer

* Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way
* Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the electronics area to let them know you’ll be right with them
* Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer
* Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping
* Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation

## Job Qualifications
EDUCATION: HIGH SCHOOL OR EQUIVALENT. CREDITABLE JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENT ON A 9 MONTH FOR 9 MONTH BASIS.
If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.
## Additional Qualifications/Requirements
Qualified Candidates must be available to work: between the hours of 5:45 am - 11:00 pm (0545-2300) all week with rotating days off.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Assist customers with a friendly positive attitude. Help maintain cleanliness of store. Willing to learn and work snack avenue along with other tasks given.
