Responsible for the administration of the day-to-day functional operations of a regional warehouse under the direction of the Regional Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The taking and processing of customer orders via phone, mail, and through sales personnel.

Execute requests for quotation from customers and prospects, according to the Regional Manager's guidelines.

Type, mail or fax as necessary.

Handle effectively the expediting of customer and inventory orders.

Provide total customer satisfaction by promptly and efficiently reacting to customer requirements, while working within established company guidelines.

Distribution responsibilities include: negotiating freight rates and tariffs, routing traffic, tracing shipments, obtaining proof of delivery, and the filing of freight claims.

Analyze, administer, and order inventory for the regional location.

Administration of the regional rental fleet.

Processing customer returns and requests for credit.

Assistance in the resolving of credit problems.

Maintain prompt communication with customers and company personnel.

Contact of outside vendors for services, price, delivery, and the request of issuance of purchase orders for the same.

Ordering of general and shipping supplies.

Administer and analyze daily cycle counting.

Assist in the training of regional operations personnel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises the regional warehouse operations according to and in the absence of the Regional Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
