Job Description

Structural Designer/Packaging

The Structural Designer must be able to provide efficient, timely and creative packaging solutions in folding carton environment. Candidate must have the ability to develop design solution for cost effective, structurally sound primary and secondary packaging for retail, consumer product and pharmaceutical markets. This candidate must have experience designing folding cartons in a manufacturing environment and will understand the impact of design on die cutting and gluing equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Develop design solutions in a folding carton environment (primary substrates are paperboard and corrugated)

- Create packaging prototypes

- Ensure all designs meet customer, as well as factory, requirements

- Remain up to date on new packing trends, material and technology

- Create efficency-focused production layouts

- Create and review production comps

- Proactively participate in discussing design projects with sales, customers, outside vendors and other departments

Shift: 1st 8am - 5pm

Duration: Temp to hire

Pay:DOE
